Privacy Policy

To The Point Wellness is a small business in Revelstoke, British Columbia. I make and sell the Sunlit Nectar skincare line, and I run a Chinese medicine and pedorthics practice. This policy covers the information collected through this website. It does not cover my clinical practice, which is described below.

I am the only person who handles this information. There is no marketing team and no mailing list broker. I do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone, for any reason.

1. What I collect

When you place an order: your name, email address, shipping address, billing address, phone number and what you bought.

When you sign up for the newsletter: your email address. Nothing else.

When you use the contact form: your name, your email address and whatever you write to me.

When you browse: Squarespace, which hosts this site, records basic visit statistics such as which pages were viewed and roughly where in the world the visitor was. I use this to see which pages people read. I have not installed Google Analytics, a Meta pixel or any other outside tracking, and this site does not run advertising cookies.

2. Why I collect it

• To take payment, fill your order and get it to you.
• To email you about your order, including tracking, delays and anything that goes wrong.

• To answer a message you have sent me.
• To send you the newsletter, if you asked for it.
• To keep the records a business is required to keep, including for tax.

I do not use your information for anything else, and I do not collect more than these purposes need. That is why the newsletter signup asks only for an email address.

3. Who else handles it

  • Squarespace hosts this website and stores orders, form submissions and newsletter subscriptions.

  • Stripe processes card payments. Your full card number goes to Stripe, not to me. I never see it and it

    is not stored on this site.

  • Canada Post receives your name and shipping address so your parcel can be delivered.

    These companies act on my instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes. Some of them store data on servers outside Canada, which means that information may be subject to the laws of the country it is held in. If that concerns you, email me before ordering and we can arrange a local pickup in Revelstoke instead.

4. Booking a treatment

Appointments are booked through Jane, a separate system, not through this website. Health information you give when booking or during a treatment is held there and is covered by my clinical privacy practices and by my professional obligations as a Registered TCM Practitioner. It is kept separate from anything on this site, and buying a product tells me nothing about your treatment history.

5. The newsletter

You only receive the newsletter if you signed up for it. Buying something does not sign you up. Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. You can also email me and I will remove you myself.

6. How long I keep it

  • Order records: seven years, which is the retention period required for business and tax records in Canada.

  • Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.

  • Contact form messages: up to two years, then deleted.

7. How it is protected

The site runs over an encrypted connection. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach me. The Squarespace account is protected by a strong password and two-factor authentication. No system is perfect, and if a breach ever put your information at real risk of harm I would tell you and report it to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia, as the law requires.

8. What you can ask me to do

  • Tell you what personal information I hold about you.

  • Correct anything that is wrong.

  • Take you off the newsletter.

  • Delete information I am not required to keep. I cannot delete an order record inside the seven-year window, but I can tell you exactly what it contains.

    Email me and I will respond within thirty days, which is the period the law allows.
